View, delete, or pause watch history (signed in)

YouTube watch history makes it easy to find videos you recently watched and improves your video recommendations. You can control your watch history by deleting or pausing your history.  Any videos that you watch while history is paused won't show in history and won’t be used to improve your recommendations.

View, delete, or pause watch history (signed in)

Sign in and go to myactivity.google.com to find videos that you've viewed on the YouTube app or youtube.com while signed in.  It also includes videos you've watched in a YouTube player on other websites while signed in to Google Chrome.

Changes you make to your account watch history will be reflected on all devices you sign in to with this account. 

If you've removed any videos from your watch history while your device was offline, it might take a few hours for those changes to sync.
To view or delete what you've previously searched for on YouTube, check out your search history.

View your watch history 

Go to the Library tab  and tap History.

  • Remove a video: Next to the video details in the History page, tap More  and select Remove from Watch History.

Clear or pause your watch history 

While on your History page, tap More  at the top.

  • Select either Clear watch history or Pause watch history.

View your watch history 

Go to your profile picture  tab and tap History.

  • Remove a video: Tap More  next to the video details and select Remove from Watch History.

Clear or pause your watch history

Tap More  and tap Settings and then History.

  • Clear watch history: Tap Clear all.
  • Pause watch history: Tap Pause.

 

View or delete your search history
