Creator Awards

The YouTube Creator Awards programme is our way of recognising the extraordinary effort that creators put into their channels. In order to be eligible for a Creator Award, you need to meet the eligibility criteria and provide the required information.

Eligibility

There are three levels of Creator Awards based on the following subscriber milestones:

  • Silver – when you reach 100,000 subscribers
  • Gold – when you reach 1,000,000 subscribers
  • Diamond – when you reach 10,000,000 subscribers

In addition to the above subscriber threshold requirements, Creator Awards are given at YouTube's discretion. We only recognise creators who follow our guidelines, and each channel is reviewed before an award can be issued.

That means that we reward creators who keep their accounts in good standing without copyright strikes or violations of YouTube's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. You'll need to resolve any such issues to be considered for a Creator Award.

Additionally, Creator Awards are meant to recognise those that bring original content to YouTube. For this reason, channels that focus on compilations, mixes, curation or heavy use of third-party copyrighted content or characters may not be eligible for Creator Awards. Redeeming your award

Within approximately one week of reaching your subscriber milestone, we'll review your channel. If you're eligible for a Creator Award, we'll send a notification to your creator dashboard.

The notification will include a unique code that you can use to redeem your Creator Award on the Creator Awards redemption website. On the website, you'll be asked for delivery information and how you want your channel name to appear on the award.

Dispatch and delivery

After you've submitted your delivery information, we'll customise your award with your channel name and deliver it to you within approximately 2-3 weeks. In order to ensure timely delivery, please note the following:

  • When you submit delivery information, please ensure that you use your full legal name in case you need to pick up your Creator Award from customs or a delivery office.
  • You'll receive an email containing a tracking number once your award has been dispatched.
  • It's your responsibility to respond to any contact by a delivery company that requests more documentation or information to allow a Creator Award to pass through customs and/or to be delivered.
    • This includes paying any customs duties and taxes in the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Ukraine and Uzbekistan
  • Failure to respond to a delivery company may result in your Creator Award being deemed abandoned, and you may be required to purchase a replacement award should you wish to receive your Creator Award.

Note: If you're located in Brazil or India, you'll be asked for additional information, such as a tax ID, while ordering your Creator Award, so that we can provide this information to customs.

Creator Award FAQs

Why haven't I received a notification about my Creator Award?

If you reached a subscriber milestone in the last week, your channel's eligibility for a Creator Award is likely still under review.
If it's been more than three weeks since your channel reached the subscriber threshold and you believe that your channel meets the eligibility criteria, you may reach out to our Creator Support team.

I received a Creator Award notification but I can't find the redemption code.

If you received a notification on your creator dashboard but can't find the code (or dismissed it), you'll need to contact our Creator Support team who can retrieve it for you.
Once you get your redemption code, you can go to the Creator Awards redemption website to redeem your award.

I redeemed my Creator Award but haven't received it yet.

You can check the status of your award order by logging into the Creator Awards redemption website and clicking on My Account.

Here are a few things that may stand between you and receiving your award once you've redeemed it:

  • There may be delays in the fulfilment process due to higher-than-expected redemption volumes.
  • You may not have provided complete and/or correct delivery information to permit delivery. Look out for an email from us if that's the case.
  • There may be delays in the delivery process, due to such issues as customs clearances, inclement weather, or busy postal periods.

I am an artist with an Official Artist Channel. How do I qualify for an award?

You'll receive a Creator Award when you pass a subscriber threshold and meet the eligibility requirements. Only one complimentary award is given per artist, per milestone.
This means that if you previously had a related auto-generated topic channel or Partner-provided channel that received an award, you won't receive that award again when your subscriber counts are merged onto your Official Artist Channel.

Can I get additional Creator Awards?

Only one complimentary award is issued per channel, per milestone. Creator Awards are for personal use only, and may not be sold or distributed to anyone outside of your channel team members. Creators found in violation of this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, including forfeiture of the award, ineligibility for future awards and/or possible termination of your YouTube and/or Google account(s).

My Creator Award arrived damaged. Can you replace it?

Creator Awards are handmade, and from time-to-time may have small imperfections and inconsistencies that are the normal result of the manufacturing process. YouTube is not responsible for these minor flaws, nor for awards which receive minor damage during the delivery process.
In the event that your award arrives with significant damage, please contact us via our Creator Support team. We will make a good faith effort to replace it if you notify us within 7 days of receipt of the award.

YouTube Creator Awards cannot be dispatched to the following countries or regions:
  • Crimea

Why am I being asked to pay customs duties and taxes?

  • Armenia
  • Azerbaijan
  • Belarus
  • Kyrgyzstan
  • Moldova
  • Ukraine
  • Uzbekistan
