Tagging your location on your videos, Shorts, and live streams lets viewers find your content by that location. They can also view other content that was tagged in the same area.
You can view tagged locations on the watch page for your content. Viewers will view the tag on any of your public, unlisted, or private videos. Viewers can click location to search for public videos from the same location.
How to Tag Your Location on Videos & Live Streams📍
Tag a video on mobile
- Tap Capture

- To record a new video, select Record

- To upload a video from your phone, select the video from the gallery.
- Create a title, then select a Visibility & Audience setting.
- To add a location, tap Show more.
- Tap Location, and search for a location to tag.
Note: You may be asked to grant a Location Permission in the app to make it easier to tag your video with a location.
Tag a Short on mobile
- Tap Capture

- Record a new Short, or upload a Short from the gallery.
- Edit your Short, then tap Next.
- Caption your Short, then select a Visibility & Audience setting.
- To add a location, tap Show more.
- Tap Location, and search for a location to tag.

Tag a live stream on mobile
- Tap Capture

- Swipe to Live
.
- Create a title, then select a privacy setting.
- To add a location, select a suggested location or tap Add
and search for a location.

Edit location data from the YouTube app
- Sign in to the YouTube app
and tap the You tab on the bottom right.
- Tap Your videos.
- Choose Videos, Shorts, or Live.
- Tap the three dot menu next to the piece of content you want, then Edit.
- Tap Show more.
- Tap Location, and search for a location to tag.
- Tap Save in the top right.
If you add a video location for a public video, this info will be available on YouTube and also on other Google products. It may also surface in other apps or across the web through our various developer APIs.
