You can turn off monetisation on your channel completely by following the instructions to leave the YouTube Partner Programme.
If you leave the YouTube Partner Programme, you'll no longer earn any revenue from YouTube. You may also lose access to email and chat support.
- Sign in to YouTube Studio on a computer.
- Go to Earn in the left menu.
- Go to YouTube Partner Programme options in the 'Overview' tab.
- In the 'Leave YouTube Partner Programme' section, click LEAVE and confirm.
If you're part of a Multi-Channel Network, you need to remove MCN access to your channel before you can continue.
Note that once you leave the YouTube Partner Programme, it can take up to a few days for monetisation of your videos to be stopped fully. To rejoin the YouTube Partner Programme, you will need to wait 30 days and follow the instructions to apply again.
