You can turn off monetization on your channel completely by following the instructions to leave the YouTube Partner Program.
If you leave the YouTube Partner Program, you'll no longer earn any revenue from YouTube. You may also lose access to email and chat support.
- Sign in to YouTube Studio on a computer.
- Go to Earn in the left menu.
- Go to YouTube Partner Program Options in the "Overview" tab.
- In the "Leave YouTube Partner Program" section, click LEAVE and confirm.
If you're part of a multi-channel network, you need to remove MCN access to your channel before you can continue.
Note that once you leave the YouTube Partner Program, it can take up to a few days for monetization of your videos to be stopped fully. To re-join the YouTube Partner Program, you will need to wait 30 days and follow the instructions to apply again.
