Set up & manage a YouTube family plan
Set up a YouTube family plan to become a family manager, and share your YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium membership with up to 5 other family members in your household. If you're a family member, you can join a family group to share a YouTube family plan.
Note: If you are a member of an existing Google family group, you will not be able to purchase a YouTube family plan, but you can ask your family manager to make the purchase.
Things to know before you start
- Family members sharing a YouTube family plan must live in the same household as the family manager. Learn more about family group requirements and what to do if you encounter errors while setting up your family plan.
- You can only change family groups once every 12 months.
- Each family member's name, photo, and email address will be shared with the group.
- You can contact support at any time if you need help with your YouTube family plan.
Things to know if you are currently a Google Play Music subscriber
- To upgrade to a Google Play Music family plan, check out this page.
-
If you are currently subscribed to an individual Google Play Music plan that includes YouTube Premium, upgrading to a Google Play Music family plan will cause you to lose access to YouTube Premium. If you'd like to maintain your YouTube Premium benefits, and have a family plan, cancel your Google Play Music subscription and sign up for a YouTube Premium family plan using the instructions below.
