Are you having any of these common issues?

• I'm subscribed to a channel but not receiving notifications.
• I am receiving some but not all notifications.
• I used to receive notifications but now I don't.
• I'm receiving notifications but they aren't popping up on my screen.
• I am not receiving notifications at all, anywhere.
• I want to receive notifications from my Chrome browser (computer only).
• I want to receive email notifications (computer only).

Before you get started, go to youtube.com on your computer.

Check that you're subscribed to the channel

You may sometimes receive recommendation notifications for activity on channels that you aren't subscribed to.

To make sure that you're subscribed to a channel, open the channel page. You should see 'SUBSCRIBED' on the page. If you see the subscribe button , it means that you aren't currently subscribed. You can click the button to subscribe.

Check your channel and bell notification settings

By default, you'll only get occasional notifications when you subscribe to a channel. If you're subscribed to a channel but aren't getting all notifications, follow these instructions to turn on all notifications:

1. Go to the channel for which you'd like to get all notifications.
2. Click Subscribed.
3. Click All .

Check the account that you're using on YouTube

Make sure that you're signed in to the account with the notification settings that you've set.

1. Select your profile picture .
2. Select Switch account.
3. You'll see which account you're signed in to. If it's not the one with the notification settings that you've set, click the account that you'd like to sign in with. To sign in to a different account, click Add account.

Check your account notification settings

1. Select your profile picture .
2. Click Settings.
3. Select the Notifications tab.
4. Use the sliders to select which notifications you want to get.

Check your email settings

If you're not getting email notifications, check if you have email notifications turned on for your account.

1. Select your profile picture .
2. Click Settings.
3. Select the Notifications tab.
4. Click the circle next to 'Send me emails about my YouTube activity (except emails that I've unsubscribed from)'.
5. Scroll down to 'Email notifications' and use the sliders to select which email notifications you would like to get.

Check your Chrome notification settings

You can choose to receive YouTube notifications when using Google Chrome Browser. When you turn them on, you'll receive pop-up notifications in your browser with updates from channels that you subscribe to.

1. Select your profile picture .
2. Click Settings.
3. Select the Notifications tab.
4. Under Desktop notifications, click the slider next to Chrome to turn notifications on or off.
