Take YouTube Certified courses

As of October 2019, YouTube Certified course eligibility has changed. YouTube Certified courses are only open to creators and partners with a YouTube partner manager or with access to Content ID. If you previously passed a YouTube Certified course, but don’t meet these requirements, you won’t be eligible to recertify.

YouTube Certified is a series of courses designed to help eligible creators and partners use advanced YouTube systems and tools.

Check if you’re eligible

YouTube Certified courses are only available to creators and partners with a partner manager, or with Content ID.

In addition, to be eligible for YouTube Certified, you must:

Enroll in a course

If you’re eligible, get in touch with your partner manager to enroll in a course. Your partner manager can help you understand which courses will be most helpful to take.

If you’re an unmanaged partner but have access to Content ID, select Get Support at the top-right to contact the creator support team.

Complete your course

To complete a course:

  1. Complete the self-paced course materials.
  2. Take the exam. You have 2 hours to take the exam. If you do not pass after the first try, you may retake the exam again after 24 hours.

You must score 75% or higher on the exam to pass. You’ll get an email confirming your exam completion. Your letter of completion for that course is valid for 18 months. After 18 months, you’ll need to retake the exam.

Music partners: Complete the number of courses defined in your SRAV (if applicable).
