Sign in without your phone

If you can’t receive codes by text message or phone call because you don’t have your phone, there are other ways to access your account. To use these alternate sign-in methods, you need either a designated backup phone or your backup codes from when you set up 2-Step Verification.

If you have a backup method

  • If you already set up a backup phone: You can have the code sent to your backup phone.
  • If you wrote down your backup codes: You can use any of the backup codes that you haven’t previously used to sign in to your account.

If you don’t have a backup method

  • If you haven’t already, follow the steps to recover your account.
  • If you still can't get in, you can create a replacement Google Account.
