If you’re eligible, you can tag products featured in your content. When you tag products in your content, a “View Products ” label will show up in the corner of your content. Viewers can select the label to review a list of the products you tagged.
This feature is only visible to viewers in select countries or regions. Learn more about how viewers browse and buy products on YouTube.
Tagging Guidelines
If you’re eligible for this feature, only tag products in your content if:
- Products are easily identifiable and featured prominently in your content.
- Products are meaningfully related to your content.
- A viewer may reasonably want to learn more or buy a product based on its appearance in your content.
- Products are used as intended. This means that your use of the product aligns with the manufacturer’s intent and promotes safe usage.
Meeting Guidelines
We review product tags and may remove tags that don’t meet these guidelines. We want to make sure your viewers discover products that are featured in your content to give the most relevant experience. If we find repeated instances of non-compliant product tags, we may remove them from your content and your channel may lose access to the affiliate program.
Troubleshooting product tags
Keep in mind that product tags won't show on your content if:
- Your content's audience is set as made for kids.
- Your content already shows Ticketing or Donations.
- Your content has a copyright claim against it.
- Your content is deemed limited or ineligible for monetization.
- Your content includes a revenue sharing track from Creator Music.
- Your viewer is not in an eligible country/region.
- Your viewer is watching your content on a mobile browser, smart TV, or game console.
- You have no approved, in-stock items.
Access Shopping sounds library for Shorts
Creators and Official Artist Channels who are enabled for YouTube Shopping can access the Shopping sounds library. You can find sounds that you can use in Shorts using Shopping features in Shopping sounds library.
To access Shopping sounds library for Shorts:
- Sign in to your YouTube mobile app.
- Tap Create Create a Short.
- Tap Add sound at the top of the Camera page or Sound at the bottom of the Editor page to access the Audio Library.
- Click the All Sounds banner at the top of the Audio Library to access the Shopping sounds library.
- Browse the available sounds and make a selection.
- Select “tag products" to make your Short shoppable.
- Publish your Shorts video.
Shopping sounds library cannot be used in long form videos and live streams displaying Shopping features. You can use royalty-free production music and sound effects from the Audio Library to display Shopping features in long from videos or live streams.
To use the product tagging feature, make sure you have the latest version of the YouTube mobile app.
To tag products while uploading new content:

- Tap “Selected” to open the panel.
- Tap Delete next to the product you want to remove.
To rearrange two or more products:
- Tap “Selected” to open the panel.
- Tap Up or Down next to a product to reorder the list.
Tag, remove, & rearrange products in existing content
To tag products in existing content:

- Open the YouTube app.
- Tap Library Your Videos.
- Next to the content that you'd like to edit, tap More Edit.
- Tap Tagged Products to open the ‘Tag products’ section.
- Enter the name of the product that you want to tag in the search box.
- Select the products that you want to tag. You can tag up to 30 products.
YouTube Studio app for iPhone and iPad
- Open the YouTube app.
- Tap Content.
- Next to the content that you'd like to edit, tap More Edit.
- Tap Tagged Products to open the ‘Tag products’ section.
- Enter the name of the product that you want to tag in the search box.
- Select the products that you want to tag. You can tag up to 30 products.

Use expanded reports in YouTube Analytics to measure engagement with your tagged products and find out how much of your traffic comes from product pages.
