The issue could be that your router or point isn’t properly connected. Check the power and Ethernet cables and make sure that they’re securely in place.
Step 1. Find the ports
The power and Ethernet ports are found on the bottom or back of your device.
Step 2. Check the power cable
Make sure that the power adaptor is connected to your device, and the other end is plugged into a working wall outlet. After about a minute, your device’s light will glow to indicate that it’s powering on.
Step 3. Check the Ethernet cable
Connect the provided Ethernet cable to your Nest Wifi router or Google Wifi point's WAN port. Plug the other end into your modem and make sure that it's powered on. Note: Google Nest Wifi points do not have an Ethernet port.

Step 4. Get online
Hold your mobile device close to your router or point and return to the Google Home app. Your router or point should now be connected to the Internet.
At this point, your Wi-Fi device should either pulse white or blue. For Google Nest Wifi points, the light will be orange if the mic is turned on (unless you have turned off this default setting in the app). Learn more about the light behaviour.
For Google Nest Wifi routers and Google Wifi points, if the app still can’t find your device, open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and look for a Wi-Fi network that matches the sticker on the bottom of your device. Try to connect to it using the setup code on the bottom of your device as the password.
Return to the Google Home app and continue setup.
