Image Search Tools Missing - Search by Exact Size & Show Image Sizes? 0 Recommended Answers 6 Replies 38 Upvotes

I noticed recently that Google have changed some of their image search settings, this for some reason seems to include the removal of some extra settings under the 'Tools' option, "Show Image Sizes" and "Exact Size" under the search by image size.

Both of these were really helpful settings so I can't really understand why they would be removed?
Hopefully they will be replaced soon!

Thanks

I've referred this issue to the Google team for investigation.

I understand the previous size options are still available in Advanced Image Search.

Please be sure to send feedback direct to Google by scrolling to the bottom of the Image Search results page and clicking "Send feedback".

Thanks for the reply, there are other options for size in the advanced search but the most important one "Exact Size" where you can input your own specified dimensions is still missing!

The "show sizes" feature isn't available at all - not in advanced search either. It was nice to have the sizes show under each image.

Yes...I have this issue as well, I do not like the all sizes, or large, medium and icon only options..please bring back the direct size choices in the left tool meny.

I tried advanced search and change to a certain size, and saved settings..while logged in, but it still brings back the large, medium icon etc sizes.

Here's a copy/paste from a previous reply I gave in another thread:

It is still possible to do this using the "imagesize" search operator. Simply type in your search terms and then add in the imagesize operator followed by the dimensions. As an example: "cute sneks imagesize:1920x1080" See here for more information: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/2466433?hl=en

Why in the world Google removed this very useful option from the dropdown menu items is beyond me. I can only assume it was a mistake.
