Change your Google notifications

When you search on Google for something like TV shows or your favorite video game, you might be able to get notifications for that topic.

Important: Notifications are only available for some trending topics, like people, places, or things.

Next to a topic, tap Get notified to get notifications.

Stop getting notifications for a specific topic

If you don’t want to get notifications for a certain topic, you can manage your notifications.

In the Google app

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google app Google Search.
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Settings and then Notifications and then Notifications you opted into.
  3. To remove the notification, to the right of the topic, tap Remove Remove.

On google.com

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, go to google.com.
  2. Search for the topic.
  3. Tap Notifications on to stop getting notifications for that topic.

Turn notifications on or off

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google app Google Search.
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Settings and then Notifications and then Notifications.
  3. Decide which notifications you want to turn on or off:
    • All: At the top, turn All Google notifications on or off.
    • One or more: Next to a topic, turn the notification on or off.

Delete your notification activity 

  1. On your device, go to myactivity.google.com.
  2. Tap Other Google activity.
  3. Under "Your interests & notifications," tap Delete.
