Listen to podcasts with Google Podcasts

You can find and listen to podcasts with Google Podcasts .

Tip: To sync your listening progress across your signed in devices, you must sign in to your Google Account and have Web & App Activity turned on. If you set your activity to auto-delete, your listening progress is also deleted after the time period that you set. 

Find & subscribe to podcasts

You can find your subscriptions at the top left on Google Podcasts. To unsubscribe from a podcast, open it and tap Subscribed.

Important: When you play a podcast, Google Podcasts uses your device to request the audio from the website that hosts it. This request includes information about the device making the request, like the IP address and what type of device you want to listen on (for example, Chrome, Safari, Android, or iOS).

Find & subscribe to podcasts

1. Go to Google Podcasts.
2. At the top, search for the podcast's name.
3. You can subscribe to a podcast in 2 ways:
   • If the podcast is at the top of search results, click Subscribe.
   • Under "Show results," click the podcast Subscribe.

Tip: To unsubscribe from a podcast, open it and click Subscribed. 

Find your subscriptions

1. Go to Google Podcasts .
2. At the top left, click Menu   Subscriptions. 

Tip: To unsubscribe, hover over the podcast and click Unsubscribe.

Discover new podcasts

To browse or search for new podcasts:

• Scroll to sections: Like “Top podcasts” or “Trending podcasts.”

• Search for a topic: Like “sports” or “news.”

Find an episode of a podcast

1. Go to Google Podcasts.
2. To find:
   • All available episodes of a podcast: Click the podcast.
   • Episode details: Click the episode name.

Tip: To return to the main page, at the top left, click Google Podcasts .

Play an episode of a podcast

1. Go to Google Podcasts.
2. Next to the episode, click Play .
   • If you’re on a details page, click Play episode.

Tip: Your episode will play at the bottom of your screen. You can move forward or back, pause, or change the speed.

Mark an episode as played or unplayed

1. Go to Google Podcasts.
2. Find the episode and click the episode name.
3. Click More   Mark as played or Mark as unplayed.

Listen to podcasts on another Google Account

1. Go to Google Podcasts.
2. At the top right, click your Profile picture or initial.
3. Choose the account you want to use or click Add another account.

Use audio playback keyboard controls

You can use keyboard shortcuts to control and listen to your podcasts.

Add a podcast by RSS feed

Important: This feature is available when you sign in.

You can also add a podcast by RSS feed. Once you add it, the podcast appears along with your other subscribed shows.

1. Go to Google Podcasts.
2. At the top left, click Menu Add by RSS feed.
3. Enter the feed URL.
4. Click Subscribe.
