Use the Google app to name a song

Important:

  • This feature is available only on iPhone.
  • Some features aren't available in all languages or countries and regions.
  • If you sign out or in private mode, this feature isn't available.
  • If you select Gemini as the Assistant, this feature isn’t available. Learn how to get started with the Gemini mobile app.
  1. On your iPhone, open the Google app Google Search.
  2. In the search bar, tap Mic and then Search a song.
  3. Play a song or hum, whistle, or sing the melody of a song.
    • Play a song: With Google, you can identify the song.
    • Hum, whistle, or sing: With Google, you can identify potential matches for the song. To get the Search results page, select one of them and you can:
      • Listen to the song.
      • Read lyrics.
      • Watch the music video.
