Autocomplete policies

When you search on Google, you can find the information you’re looking for faster using autocomplete search predictions. If no predictions appear, an algorithm might have detected that it contains potentially policy-violating content, or the prediction has been reported and found to violate Autocomplete policies.

While we do our best to prevent inappropriate predictions, we don’t always get it right. If you think a prediction violates one of the policies below, learn how to report a prediction.

The policies below play an important role in maintaining a positive and informative experience for everyone using Autocomplete. We may make exceptions to these policies when the prediction has context related to artistic, educational, historical, documentary, or scientific content, or content that helps to further understanding and participation in current events and issues related to our society, politics, culture, and economy.

Request content removal

Upon request, we sometimes remove content under applicable laws or in response to a court order. Submit legal requests here.
