Open translated pages on Search

You can get access to more content in your local language with translated results. When your search query doesn’t include relevant results in your local language, Google Search might show results from other languages translated into your local language.

Important: Currently, translated results are available:
  • In Indonesian, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu.
  • On mobile devices with any browser that supports Google Search.

Open a page in your local language

  1. On your phone or tablet, go to google.com.
  2. Do a search.
  3. In search results, tap the translated title of a page.

Tip: When you tap the translated title of a page, the page opens with Google Translate. Google Translate automatically translates any links you follow from the translated page.

Open a page in its original language

At the bottom of a translated result, tap Expand and then the untranslated title of the page.

How translated results work

Google Search provides a translation of the title and snippet of a search result. You can choose to view the live translation of the page or the original result. Live translations come from Google Translate.
