Fix a problem
- Turn on Web & App Activity.
- Sign in to the same Google Account across the devices you want to sync.
- Tip: If you recently renamed a conflicting account, try to sign in with the new name.
By default, Google Podcasts removes downloaded episodes:
- 24 hours after you finish them.
- 30 days after you download them.
To change these settings:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Podcasts app .
- At the bottom, tap Home .
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial Podcast settings.
- For completed episodes, tap Remove completed episodes and choose a time period.
- For unfinished episodes, tap Remove unfinished episodes and choose a time period.
- To get new podcasts, open the Google Podcasts app and swipe down on the screen.
- Check that you’re connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- Restart the Google Podcasts app:
- On your iPhone or iPad, double-click the Home button to show your recent apps.
- If there is no Home button, from the bottom edge of you screen, swipe up slowly.
- Swipe up the Google Podcasts app.
- Open the Google Podcasts app again.
- On your iPhone or iPad, double-click the Home button to show your recent apps.
- If the app closes or it’s blank, remove the app and then get it again from the App Store.
- Tip: This removes downloaded episodes from your device.
- Restart your iPhone or iPad.
- Go to the Google Podcasts app page in the App Store.
- Tap Update.
- If "Open” appears, you already have the latest version.
