The search appearance section doesn't appear in my search console dashboard

The title, description and sub-titles of my website are described incorrectly. I wasn't able to find the search appearance section on my search console dashboard. Please help me out.

The page linked by Manjit Lotey is outdated. There is no longer a Search Appearance option in the side menu navigation. I've been looking for almost an hour now and have yet to find a solution. Each post that I've come across seems to be filled with responses that will direct you to that URL – despite these posts having the title, "Search Appearance no longer available in navigation menu."

It would be awesome if a Google Search Console developer could provide some input on this issue. As of right now, I'm forced to use 3rd party web tools to view this data.

Hi there,

Thank you for your informative response. I wasn't able to find any search appearance button neither.
Can you please recommend me on external tools that may may be helpful?

Thank you very much!

I used sitechecker.pro to test for proper metadata while Google sorts this out. There are tons of other free online resources if you just search, “Google SEO tester” or “free SEO check.”

Kind of a pain, as Google has the full resources to provide this data from their own database. I hope this gets fixed soon.

PS. to the mods: this issue is still unresolved. Please do not mark this question as closed until the issue is fixed and/or the documentation is corrected.

Any luck with that? I keep getting results about how to edit "Search Appearance" and it's nowhere to be found. I keep getting redirected to the same link but still I haven't been told how to reach "search appearance".

I can see the search appearance in the performance report but it still doesn't allow me to edit how it looks like. I'm trying to figure out how I can edit the short description and the sub-titles that appear under my website on Google. See example attached.

Hi Rei,

Search appearance is just a tab that shows you where you have appeared in rich results, it doesn't control appearance.

The feature you are looking at is know as site links, you can read about them here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/47334?hl=en

You can't control these directly, they are picked by the algorithm.
