Animation in a responsive layout

Responsive features are not supported in AMPHTML adsVideo ads, animated GIFs and image ads can use multi-size layouts.

When your document uses a responsive layout, each media rule can have its own set of animations, allowing you to set different animations for various sizes or orientations.

Animations can vary as much as you wish. You can adjust the timing of keyframes, edit the animated properties, or remove or add animation altogether.

In the example above, the animated movement occurs in different directions for each size

Animation overrides

When you modify any animation while a media rule is selected, the element name of the affected layer turns yellow in the timeline.

To restore the default animation used by the base document, click the layer's label and select Remove override.
