wear os won't find my fossil 4 venture on the pixel 3XL? I have done ALL the troubleshooting...! 0 Recommended Answers 7 Replies 0 Upvotes

I have done every step in every way that is suggested on the troubleshooting page.. I'm so frustrated.. I'm about to go back to iphone..

Is this the first time that you're setting up the watch or have you used it previously?
 
At what step is the setup process failing? Is it the point where it tells you to tap on your watch in the list? Does it just never show up? What's shown on the watch at this point?

This is a new watch for my pixel 3. 
The wear os won't find it and all the steps that the troubleshooting Page suggests don't work... I've reset everything in order as the Page suggests, turned off, waited, restarted, re-downloaded, deleted caches... checked for updates.. 
The phone's Bluetooth finds the phone.. each time I try to reconnect.

The watch just keeps searching
The app just keeps searching and no list ever comes up 
Finally the watch will give up and ask to restore it..

Are you trying to connect to the watch from the phone's Bluetooth menu? The Wear OS app is pretty picky about that - only the app should be establishing that Bluetooth connection.

I know you've been through a lot of troubleshooting steps already, but I'd like you to go through one more round just to confirm that we haven't missed anything:
 
 
  1. On the watch, go to Settings > System > Disconnect & reset (you may need to long-press the Power button to access this menu if the setup process hasn't completed successfully).
  2. On the phone, go to Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth, tap the gear icon next to your watch's name (if it's listed), and choose Forget.
  3. Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Wear OS by Google > Storage > Clear data.
  4. Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Google > Storage > Clear data.
  5. Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Google Play services > Storage > Manage space > Clear all data.
  6. Reboot the phone.
  7. Open the Google app and go through the setup and onboarding process for Assistant.
  8. Then launch the Wear OS app and try to connect your watch again.

Awesome, I'm glad to hear that you were able to get connected! A fresh start can often go a long way.

By "onboarding" I just meant the initial Assistant setup, where you choose whether Assistant will recognize your voice and all that.
