My newly purchased wearOS watch are useless since I can’t sync it with my Google account using my wearOS app. I choose a Google account to sync on the watch, type in my password and proceed to a white screen with no further developments. Sometimes it returns error 400 bad response (actually I had it once after trying for 20th time). 

I’ve tried wifi and cellular
I’ve reconnected my watch 
I’ve reinstalled the app
I’ve rebooted my phone
I’ve ran a reset on the watch. 

None of the above helps.

I have the same issue. Let us know if you get sorted. I have restored phone to factory and still doesn't work.

I'm having exactly the same issue with my newly purchased Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and my Tag Heuer Connected 2020, would love to know if anyone has a fix for this.  I've exhausted all variations of factory reset/connections/etc....

also having the same issue thinking of sending my fossil gen 5 back, i hace a googpe pixal 3 xl so thought that having a google phone and a google powered watch would be a simple connection what a joke.

Please take a couple minutes to send a Feedback Report to the WearOS team. That is far more effective than just posting comments here. The data included with the feedback will help identify the cause of the problem. The Google team reads all feedbacks. They don't monitor this Help Community.
 
Using the Wear OS app on your phone, go to Menu > Help & feedback > Send feedback

Sadly, same here. Tried every trick in the box (clearing data and cache, uninstalling, reinstalling and so on) but with no luck.

Pixel 4 XL  - Huawei Watch W1

EDIT: The "White screen" seems to be Google Play Services (In my case)

UPDATE:  The problem appears to be solved automagically: Tried today and my account copied without issues.
The only difference (I think that isn't relevant, but just in case) was that my watch was in the cradle during the process.

having exactly the same issue problem with both my kids watches not being able to connect to their iphones and i wasted a lot of time over weekend-  reseting phones and watches.
i am able to connect both their devices to their google accounts on my andriod device; so at moment; all 3 of us have watches connected to the same phone, which isn't ideal.

guessing there is a data conflict on iphones which prevents google account been added.

please help......
