for the past year my ZenWatch2 and Google Pixel have worked great, but this past week it stopped working and i have no idea why.
i have tried the following things....
Deleting cache and data for Android Wear app on Phone
unpairing/forgetting the watch on phone
deleting and reinstalling android wear app on phone.
deleting and uninstalling zenwatch app on phone
deleting cache and data for zenwatch app
factory reset on watch over 10 times.
ensured the right permissions were given to android wear app and zenwatch app.

the android wear app says that the watch it connected but the watch says disconnected, i cannot get any notifications whatsoever, it's s though the watch is not connected at all but the phone says it is.

i'm not sure what to do at this point. the Asus Zenwatch 2 is running android wear 2.0.0.161057753

Hey Moe,

Sounds like you've done all the appropriate steps that I'd recommend to fix a problem like this.  Have there been any recent updates to the Android Wear app, Zenwatch app, or to your watch?  Have you tried reaching out to Asus to see if they have any suggestions?

I upgraded to a Pixel 3XL and now can not connect to Zen Watch 2.

UPDATE: resetting watch and starting process over corrected my problem.
