How do I add contacts to my watch from an apple iphone

I have paired my phone and watch, it has only let me add a google account, so now it's saying it can't add my contacts. I have an iPhone 6 please help

Howdy do

Try going to contacts.google.com via a desktop machine, and use its settings to IMPORT your old contacts. Follow Apple instructions on how to prepare a download contacts file.

Once you have your contacts transferred over to your Google account, you should have no issue getting them to sync to your device. It may take a little time, depending on how many contacts you have, but it should do it's thing so long as you have an internet connection to your watch.
