OK, here goes:

The Wear OS phone app does NOT work with the Samsung GW4 or any Samsung watch. While it feels like a bit of a contradiction, it is because the new Wear OS is a hybrid. For the Samsung Watch models, use the Samsung Galaxy Wearables app as John mentioned. That provides sync and also manages watch faces -- which is what I guess you're probably after. You cannot use watch faces that were in or use the Wear OS phone app unless they are supported on the phone separately. For example, you can get Watchmaker and Pujie black and use them. (However, expect that display results for many of the variables might not be 100% active.)

All sync and watch control is from the Samsung Phone app. Do not use the Wear OS phone app for anything.

Hi Roberto,

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is not supported by the Wear OS application. You'll need to use Samsung's Galaxy Wearables app for connecting and managing the watch:

Yep, it's complicated and a bit confusing.

The short of it is that the Galaxy Watch 4 does run Wear OS under the hood, but it's running Samsung's software on top of it - and that means you'll need to use Samsung's app to manage it.

John how to I install it under the hood? When I try to sync the phonw with the watch, the process never ends...
