How do I get Huawei Health data into Google Fit? 0 Recommended Answers 36 Replies 1258 Upvotes

I have a Huawei band 2 pro and it logs steps, heart rate etc fine in the Huawei Health app.
I want to get everything into Google Fit so that I can sync with My Fitness Pal too.

For a while, the steps etc. from Huawei Health were showing in Google Fit (I connected the apps fine) but then they just stopped showing up. I've tried having activity detection on and off in Fit and that doesn't make any difference.

The really weird thing is that with activity detection turned off in Fit it's still finding steps from somewhere - just about 1/10th of the steps that I'm getting in Health so that's not where they're coming from.
When I go to the "Manage data sources" menu, "samsung" shows up so I guess that's where steps are coming from? (I"m using an S8)

Can anyone tell me how to get Huawei Health to sync up to Fit again? What went wrong?

I did some testing today and I was also unable to get Huawei Health to sync any data into Google Fit. The two services don't seem to be talking correctly but it's difficult to tell which end holds the problem.

I'd suggest reporting this to both the Google Fit developers via (i) > Menu > Help & feedback > Send feedback in the Google Fit app and to Huawei's support team via the contact information at Me > About > Customer service hotline in the Huawei Health app. One or both of those teams will need to resolve this; I don't think it's anything that we users can correct.

Cheers,
John

I have the same issue. I actually turned off the step tracking in Fit and have it read directly from health to see if that was the issue.  Steps are incredibly inaccurate vs Health app.

No. It worked briefly when I first connected things but hasn't worked since and no amount of connecting and disconnecting has helped.

No, it wasn't ever resolved. I even tried with another fitness app that claims to sync with Fit and it didn't work. Seems Fit is trying to be exclusive to just West OS devices as Fitbit is with their app.

I have a few third-party apps which do successfully push data into Google Fit (Mobvoi, Motiv, Heart Trace 2, and Nike Training Club) so I don't think this is a problem with Google trying to make Fit exclusive to Wear OS devices. Instead it seems more likely that something is broken on Huawei's end. Please keep reporting this to Huawei's developers so that they will fix it.

I have a Huawei watch 2 which was only monitord by Huawei health. I could install Google Fit on the watch and log in with google account so it will show up in Google Fit on the phone.

I have found that Huawei has programs/apps listed that it supposedly will connect with that don't seem to be supported anymore.  I feel like I threw my money away on Huawei.  Emailed them.  Got no response.  Contacted them "live" online, was told to uninstall/reinstall.  Did not solve the problem.  Sorry, no further help available.  Health seems like such a fantastic piece of software, but I wonder if China relations are so bad at this point that they are not interested in keeping up their alliances with other apps.  I dunno.  Wish I could get it to work with other apps to link automatically with my weight loss program.

I had it too. Since november 25th my Trajectory function does not work anymore. Tried to update, reinstall, go back to factory mode and login as a new ,but nothing, am I paranoid if I link it to google being hostile to Huawi? Anyway ,now I lost a great function. What to do?

I can report that Huawei Health is not sending anything from my Huawei Watch 2 Classic to Google Fit BUT if I disconnect the two apps, Google Fit's own GPS tracking and steps become horribly inaccurate. So, I leave the two connected but use Google Fit app to track all exercise (masters sprint athlete - so it gets hammered)... except sleep. For sleep, I use a Mi Band 2, not with the Mi-Band app but instead with Notify & Fitness linked to Sleep as Android. The Sleep as Android sync with Google Fit is just about instantaneous. In recent weeks, I've been able to see sleep logged in the Google Fit app on my watch but not on the phone or web apps.

I have a Band 2 Pro using Huawei Health 9.0.4.383 with data export enabled to Google Fit on Nokia 6 running Pie.  I noticed that steps and sleep information from April 1 are now showing up in Google Fit but not heart rate information.  It also appears that Fit is automatically detecting activity and creating workout events based on that activity.

In the meantime, my spouse has a Honor Band 4 but hosted on a LG V20 H990N running Pie.  Google Fit has yet to see data from Huawei Health on her mobile

I found an option to share data from my honor band 4 with google fit.
See screenshot (it's in dutch but I'm sure it's recognizable) just go to the 'me' tab and then below the wearable share data.

It doesn't resolve the while thing, the two app even if synced, doesn't communicate.
Very disappointing.

Try this method. It may work.
1. Open Huawei Health and pull down the screen to sync.
2. Close the app by double pressing the back button on your phone.
3. Open Google Fit and check the steps counted.
If it does not match or nowhere near the Health app then close Google Fit. Dont forget to remove both Health and Fit from recently opened apps and repeat the above procedure again and again until the steps are nearly accurate.

I am doing these for the past 1 week and I get my steps and sleep in Google Fit from Huawei Health by about 4-5 repeats. The steps though not 100% accurate but the sleep records are.
I am using a Huawei Watch GT Active and a Nokia 7 Plus. Hope this works for you.
Thank you.
