Send & receive text messages on your watch

With a cellular watch, you can send and receive texts using your phone number and cellular service.

Note: You can't use a cellular watch with an iPhone.

Check if you have a cellular watch

1. If you can’t see your screen, wake up the watch.
2. Open the Settings app .
3. Tap Connectivity and look for "Cellular."
   • If your watch doesn’t show this option: You don’t have cellular service. Skip the other steps.
4. Make sure you have:
   • Cellular service for your watch. For more info about getting service for your watch, check with your carrier.
   • Cellular service for your phone.
   • SIM card for your watch
   • Your carrier’s messaging app, like Messenger from AT&T or Messages from Verizon.

Note: The text abilities of your watch vary depending on your carrier and plan.
