Change your watch's home screen

You can change your watch's home screen to match your goals, needs and style. Different watch faces display different sets of information.

Change your watch face

1. If you can’t see your screen, wake up the watch.
2. To see the list of watch faces, tap and hold the screen.
   • On some watches, you need to swipe left on the watch screen.
3. Swipe left or right to see watch faces that you can choose.
4. To choose a new design, tap the watch face.

Add or remove a watch face

You can hide watch faces so that they don’t appear on your watch. When a watch face is hidden, you’ll see it in the app, but not on your watch. You can also add more watch faces to your collection.

1. If your screen is dim, tap it to wake up the watch.
2. To find the list of watch faces, tap and hold the screen.
   • On some watches, you need to swipe left on the watch screen.
3. Swipe right and tap the option to add more watch faces.
4. To hide a watch face, tap Hide .
   • Wear 2: To remove a watch face, swipe up.

Tips:

• You can also change your watch face in the Wear OS app or the companion app on your device. In the Wear OS app, under the image of your watch, tap More.
• To delete a watch face that you found in the Play Store or app store, find out how to remove downloaded apps.

Customise your watch face

You can pick watch faces that have more information in the background or shortcuts to other apps. To choose the information or apps, change the complications (sections of the screen).

Step 1: Choose a customisable background

1. If you can’t see your screen, wake up the watch.
2. To see the list of watch faces, tap and hold the screen.
   • On some watches, you need to swipe left on the watch screen.
3. Swipe right or left to see other watch faces.
4. Choose a watch face that's above a settings icon .

Step 2: Customise your watch's background

1. Tap and hold the watch screen, then tap 'Settings' .
   • On some watches, tap and hold until you see the 'Customise' screen.
2. Choose an option:
   • To change the information or apps displayed: Tap Data, then tap a section of the screen to change what’s shown there.
   • To change the colour and style of your watch face: Tap Styles.
     ​For more options, swipe right, left, up or down.
3. When you’ve finished, tap the new watch face to save it.

Step 3: Choose your data permissions

You can let your watch face access your complication data.

To change this permission:

1. Swipe up to display your apps and tap Settings .
2. Tap Apps Permissions.
3. Tap on the watch face that you want to edit.
4. Tap Receive complication data Allow or Deny.
