Silence or unblock notifications on your watch

You can get notifications for texts, missed calls, events, reminders, and more. Your watch will vibrate or stay silent when you get a notification, depending on the settings on your phone.

  • If your phone vibrates or makes a sound for a notification, your watch will vibrate for that notification.
  • If your phone doesn’t vibrate or make a sound for a notification, your watch won't vibrate or make a sound for that notification.

When you dismiss a notification on your watch, it's also dismissed on your phone (and the other way around).

Your watch will have the same Do not disturb settings as your phone. You can also turn the Alarms only DND setting on from your watch.

  1. If your screen is dim, tap the screen to wake up the watch.
  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Do not disturb Alarms or Priority only. Depending on your Do not disturb settings on your phone, you’ll still get important notifications.

Silence your watch's notifications

If you don’t want to see notifications on your watch, you can mute your watch. When your watch is muted, it won’t vibrate for new notifications.

To turn mute on or off:

  1. Swipe all the way down from the top of your watch’s screen
  2. Tap Mute Notifications. When your watch is muted, if you look at its screen, you’ll see a Mute icon Notifications off.

If your entire phone is in silent mode, your watch will still vibrate since the watch uses each individual app’s settings.
