View & manage your navigation history

View your navigation history to see locations you navigated to, or checked the ETA for, in the last few months.

  1. Open Waze
  2. Tap
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Scroll down and tap Privacy 
  5. Tap Navigation history
    Tip: Tap a month to view your activity for that month.
Note: It may take a few minutes for new drives to appear in your navigation history.
 

Delete your navigation history

Your navigation history is automatically deleted after a few months, but you can still delete it manually.

Delete one location or route

  1. Open Waze
  2. Tap
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Scroll down and tap Privacy 
  5. Tap Navigation history
    Tip: Tap a month to view your activity for that month.
  1. Next to the activity you want to delete, tap X
  2. Tap Delete

Delete your entire navigation history

  1. Open Waze
  2. Tap
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Scroll down and tap Privacy 
  5. Tap Navigation history  
  6. Tap Delete all
Note: This won’t delete activities from your saved places or recent destinations. Places you navigated to recently are saved on your phone and are still visible. These can be deleted individually.

I don't see any drives in my navigation history

Try completely closing Waze, and then reopening. Check again.

I see a place in my navigation history that I don't recognize

This is likely because you started navigating somewhere, but never completed the drive. Incomplete drives like these still appear in your navigation history – even if you never reached the final destination.

I tried to delete my navigation history but it didn't work

Try completely closing Waze, and then reopening. Check again.

Can I restore my navigation history that I've deleted?

No. Once deleted, you can't restore your navigation history.

Is my navigation history stored forever?

No. Elements from your navigation history are automatically deleted after a few months.

I saw my navigation history on the Waze Map Editor. Are they the same?

Yes. Your navigation history is visible on the Waze Map Editor.

Can I turn off my navigation history?

You can’t turn this feature off. If you’d like, you can go in to "Navigation history" every once in a while and delete it all.
