Record your own voice directions

Get driving instructions in your own voice.

Using Waze in your car? Record voice directions on your phone. Select the voice on your phone, and it'll play in your car. If you're using Android Auto or CarPlay, make sure to disconnect your phone first.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Settings
4. Tap Voice and sound
5. Tap Current voice
6. Tap Add a voice
7. Tap OK
8. Tap the phrase you want to record
9. Tap  to start recording  and  to stop
10. Tap to play your recording back
11. Tap Save
12. Tap Save in the top-right corner
13. Enter a name for your voice
14. Tap Done

Share your voice recording

Send your voice recording to friends and they'll hear your recorded directions while navigating with Waze.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Settings
4. Tap Voice and sound
5. Tap Current voice
6. Tap  against the voice recording you'd like to share
7. Tap Share
8. Select your preferred app and the person you'd like to share the voice with

Delete your voice recording

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Settings
4. Tap Voice and sound
5. Tap Current voice
6. Tap  against the voice recording you'd like to delete
7. Scroll down and tap Delete voice
8. Tap Delete
