Here are Waze's policy options:
Location always on
Depending on your settings, Waze can check your location even when you’re not using the app to get reminders for planned drives, updates about bad traffic, parking assistance, and more. Android users can adjust their location sharing settings directly from Waze’s Privacy settings, while iOS users can do so from the OS settings.
Personalized ads
Make the ads you see more useful to you or opt out of seeing personalized ads on Waze. If you opt out, you'll still see ads, but they'll be less relevant. Keep in mind: Waze doesn't sell your personal information. For more info, read our full Privacy Policy (”Advertising campaigns” section).
You can turn off ads personalization directly from Waze’s Privacy Settings.
Invisible mode
Your username, mood, Waze rank, points and more may be displayed publicly on the map. Friends may also see your name & photo. Don’t want to appear on the map? Go invisible.
Delete Account
You can choose to delete your Waze account and your personal information by using the "Delete Account" option which is available under the Privacy settings in the application and on the Waze website. If you delete your Waze account all your credits, saved places, Navigation history and rank will be gone. Information you have contributed to Waze (like map edits and statistical drive data) will not be removed, but it will not be linked to you.
