Find EV charging stations along your route

Turn on electric vehicle (EV) features and Waze will display EV charging stations along your route on the map.

Step 1: Turn on EV features for your car

You only need to do this once.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap 
3. Tap Settings 
4. Tap Vehicle details 
5. Tap Electric vehicles
6. Turn on "Turn on EV features"
7. Add plugs and networks to only show charging stations that work with your car:
   • Plugs: Tap Plugs and select your plug type. You can select more than one.
   • Networks: Tap Networks and select your preferred network. You can select more than one.

Step 2: Search for EV stations nearby

1. Open Waze
2. Tap the search bar
3. Tap EV charging under the search bar
4. Select the charging station you want to navigate to. Swipe up to see details about the station.
5. Tap View routes
6. Tap Go now to navigate to the charging station, or tap Leave later to plan a drive

Note: If you just turned on EV features, it might take a few hours for EV charging to appear. If you don't see it, try to restart Waze.

You can use Waze to find EV charging stations in:

Find EV charging stations on Android Auto

Disconnect your phone from your in-car system and turn on EV features on your phone. They’ll apply when you use Waze in your car.

Step 2: Search for EV stations nearby

1. Open Waze on your in-car system
2. Tap 
3. Tap Categories
4. Tap EV charging
5. Select the charging station you want to navigate to
6. Tap Go now to navigate to the charging station
   Note: Navigation will start automatically if you've navigated to the charging station before.

Android Automotive (AAOS)

Find EV charging stations on AAOS

Step 1: Turn on EV features for your car

Turn on EV features on your phone. They'll apply when you use Waze in your car.

Step 2: Search for EV stations nearby

1. Open Waze on your in-car system
2. Tap 
3. Tap Categories
4. Tap EV charging
5. Select the charging station you want to navigate to
6. Tap Go now to navigate to the charging station
   Note: Navigation will start automatically if you've navigated to the charging station before.

CarPlay
