Exercising your California privacy rights

Waymo collects some of your personal information in order to provide, maintain, and improve our services. As a California resident, you have have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to access and correct your information and to request that Waymo delete that information.

We want to help you understand your rights under the CCPA and exercise them as easily as possible.

How to download, delete, or correct information

Please see the options below that represent how you shared your information with Waymo and then complete the form provided which we will use to verify your identity and get started working on your request. Sometimes we won't be able to fully comply with a request due to legal or security reasons or other limitations identified under the CCPA. You can also call us at 1-844-261-3753 if you have questions or need assistance.

Waymo One user

If you have a Waymo One account, please complete this form.

Current Waymo employee

Visit Wayfinder and select Exercising Your Privacy Rights. This will provide information on how employees can exercise their rights (including those provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act).

Former Waymo employee

If you previously worked for Waymo as a full time employee, please complete this form.

Waymo job applicant

If you applied to work at Waymo, please complete this form.

  • These requests take time - You may wait up to 45 days
  • We may reach out to you - We may follow up to ask additional questions, or to check that you are who you say you are
  • We may be limited in our ability to fulfill a request in some circumstances - For example, we may need to keep some information about you for legal or security reasons, or to continue providing a Waymo service you requested

Submitting a Rights Request for Authorized Agent

If you are submitting a rights request as an authorized agent, you are required to submit proof of your authorization to make the request, such as a valid power of attorney or proof that you have signed permission from the individual who is the subject of the request. In some cases, we may be required to contact the individual who is the subject of the request to verify his or her own identity or confirm you have permission to submit this request. If you are an authorized agent seeking to make a request, please contact privacy@waymo.com, or call us at 1-844-261-3753 and provide the information identified above.
