You can delete your Waymo account through the Waymo app. Keep in mind, you can’t delete your Waymo account while on an active trip or if you have pending charges.
What deleting your account means
- Deleting your account is permanent.
- You won’t be able to use the Waymo service again until you create a new account. Please note, there may be a delay before you’re able to create a new account.
- Support will lose all access to your previous trip information. They’ll no longer be able to help with things like refunds for past trips, receipts, or finding lost items.
- Information including your name, email, and trip history is deleted.
- Waymo's access to your Google account is revoked.
We may keep some information as required by law or for our legitimate business purposes. Read more in our privacy policy found in the app.
How to delete your account
Here's how to delete your account for the Waymo app:
- Open the Waymo app.
- Select the Account tab.
- Tap Edit account.
- Tap the trash icon.
- Tap Delete forever.
How to delete your account with linked teen accounts
If you're in the Metro Phoenix service area and have a teen account associated with your account:
1. Unlink the teen accounts.
2. Delete your account.
Please note that deleting your account will delete any teen accounts associated with your account, since teens need to be associated with a parent or legal guardian’s account.
Additionally, if a teen deletes their account, all of their history and rides will be erased from the parent account.
