In-car features

We offer several in-car features to provide a comfortable riding experience. Feel free to use the in-car screens, as well as the physical seat and window controls, throughout the trip. All other controls are off-limits. Our service offers a number of helpful features to everyone, including those with accessibility needs.

Get going

When you're ready to go, tap Start ride on the in-car screen or from the app.

Get music

Connect your Spotify account or YouTube Music Premium account to listen to your favorite music and more.

You can also choose from a selection of iHeartRadio stations on the in-car screen, or use the Waymo app to search your favorites and add them as well. To learn more, see Play music.

Get comfortable

You can set your cabin preferences, including temperature, legroom, and audio, so your car always arrives just the way you like it.

From the app:

1. Select the My car tab at the bottom of the screen.

2. Access music and your cabin preferences.

From the in-car screen:

Access your cabin preferences from the control bar. 

Get help

Connect to Support any time. Tap Support on the in-car screen, or call Support from the Waymo app.

Get out

To end your ride early, tap Pull over in the app. Alternatively, you can find the pullover option under your cabin preferences on the in-car screen control bar. The car will find a safe spot to stop unless you choose to cancel the request.

Unless it’s at the very end of your ride, Support may call in to check and make sure everything is okay.
