Service animals

Service dogs and miniature horses that are small enough to ride in our vehicles are always welcome to join riders with disabilities.

Confirm your animal is a service animal

Only a dog or miniature horse that has been trained to perform work or tasks for a person with a disability are service animals. All other animals, including emotional support or therapy animals, are not allowed to ride in our cars.

Bring your service animal on a trip

No need to tell us about your service animal ahead of time or bring any paperwork. They don’t need to wear a special ID tag, vest, or harness.

If it’s not obvious that your dog or miniature horse is a service animal, Support may call the car and check in to confirm by asking:

  1. Is your animal required because of a disability?
  2. What work or task has your animal been trained to perform?
