Your business profile makes it easy to take Waymo One rides for business (or school) purposes. Your business profile can have a different payment method (e.g. a corporate card), and you can easily choose to use your personal or business profile when hailing. Additionally, your organization may offer a program that pays for part or all of qualifying rides once you’ve added a business profile using your business (or school) email address.
How to add a business profile
- Go to Account and select “Payment”
- Under Payment profiles select “Add Business profile”
- Enter your business (or school) email address
- We’ll email you a code to verify eligibility
- Enter the code in the app when prompted
- Add a default payment method for business profile rides (optional)
Switching between personal and business profiles
You can easily choose your personal profile or business profile (and associated payment method) for each ride when hailing.
- When hailing a ride, tap the payment icon on the bottom left of the “Your trip" screen to change profiles or payment method.
- Selecting a personal or business profile will update the payment method for your ride. After selecting a profile, if you wish, you can select a different payment method for this ride only.
See if you're eligible for organization-sponsored rides:
- Once you’ve added and verified your business email, if your organization offers a ride program and your business email is eligible, you should see it listed as an active offer in the Account > Offers & promotions menu in the Waymo One app with some details about ride eligibility criteria for the program (e.g. specific days, times, locations).
- When hailing an eligible ride, on the "Your trip" screen, you’ll see a discounted price (at the bottom). Tapping it will provide more details on the program discount.
- To receive the discount, make sure you book the eligible ride using your personal profile. Since your organization is paying for part of the ride, you are responsible for paying the remainder on your personal profile. Switching to your business profile for these rides will not enable you to take advantage of the discount.
- If you’re using your personal profile and still don’t see the discount applied on the “Your trip” screen, double check that your ride meets the program’s eligibility criteria or reach out to your organization’s point of contact for the program.
For rides paid for by others, we may share some of your trip information with that party. To learn more, see the Waymo One privacy policy.
