Can't edit a translation in the popup that appears hovering on a translation

I can't input the correct text in the small pop-up that appears when I hover on a translation in my browser (Chrome 87.0 on MacOS 11.0.1). The translated (target language) text to be corrected appears for a second, then disappears.

I can click the button to confirm an unedited translation  but the field to input the correction is hidden. I tried to disable the popup blocker but no result.

Hi Luca,

Could you share the screenshot of the translation pop-up?

Thanks

Could be the fiction between extensions or may be not. Nonetheless, I have asked the product team to look into this. And, I will keep you posted if I get any updates.

Thanks,

Sure.
The translation briefly appears under the grey line, then the line and the grey service text just below, buttons and all, jump up and cover it. (I'll try to make a gif to show the process). I guess it could also be the effect of any extension I'm using.

Luca, thank you for your quick and detailed response.

It was eons ago Google would allow the user to edit the mistranslation right then an there ( link ). Later, they deprecated this feature and users are encouraged to edit mistranslations in the Google Translate website ( link

Thank you for highlighting the broken feature. I will escalate it to the product team so they take care of it.

Kind regards,

Weird, I didn't encounter any issue when I attempted to edit the original text translation right inside the box. My translation went through and received a message in green saying 'Thank you for your contribution'.

Please try to clear the browser memory and try to uninstall and reinstall the Google Translate extension. Pease let me know how it goes. Thanks

I cleaned the cache and reinstalled but I ecnounter the same problem. It could be due to a conflict with another Chrome extension but I don't feel like uninstalling them all to find out :)
