Built-in variables

Built-in variables are a special category of variables that are pre-created and non-customizable. New containers have no user-defined variables at the start, and some built-in variables will be pre-enabled. Enabled built-in variables will be made available throughout Tag Manager wherever variable selection menus appear.

To enable built-in variables for a container:

1. Click Variables in the left menu.
2. In the Built-In Variables section, click Configure.
3. Enable or disable variables using their corresponding checkboxes.
