Google has developed an official WordPress plugin called Site Kit. Site Kit makes it easy to set up and configure key Google products, including Google Tag Manager, giving you authoritative and up-to-date advice on how to succeed on the web. To configure Site Kit with an AW- tag, Site Kit must first be configured with Google Analytics.
- Log in to your WordPress website.
- Make sure your site is publicly accessible (meaning your site isn't in maintenance mode or only accessible through a password).
- In the left navigation menu, click Plugins.
- Click Add new at the top of the Plugins page, then search for "Site Kit".
- Click Install Now on the Site Kit by Google.
- Once the plugin is installed, from the menu on the left, click Plugins.
- Under "Site Kit by Google", click Activate.
- Once the plugin is activated, on the left hand side, click Site Kit.
- Click Sign in With Google.
- Click Sign in With Google.
- Select the Google account with an existing Google Ads or Google Analytics property.
- After granting permission, verify site ownership by clicking Proceed.
- Grant access to Google account data by clicking Allow.
- Click Add site to add the site to Search Console.
- You have now configured the plugin.
- Click Go to my Dashboard to continue.
- From the menu on the left, select Site Kit, then Dashboard.
- In the Analytics section, click Connect Service.
- Sign in with the same Google account as you used before.
- Grant additional permissions by clicking Continue.
- Choose your pre-existing analytics property then click Configure Analytics.
- Analytics is now configured.
- To include Google Ads, go to Site Kit settings by clicking Settings on the left-hand menu.
- Click Site Kit.
- Click to expand the "Analytics" section, then click Edit at the bottom of the section.
- Paste your Adwords conversion ID (AW-) in the box provided and click Confirm Changes.

- Log in to your WordPress website.

- In the navigation menu on the left, click Plugins.
- Click Add New at the top of the “Plugins” page, then search for “Site Kit”.
- Click Install Now on the Site Kit by Google.
- Once the plugin is installed, from the menu on the left, click Plugins.
- Under “Site Kit by Google”, click Activate.
- Once the plugin is activated, on the left-hand side, click Site Kit.
- Click Sign in with Google.
- Select the Google Account with an existing Google Ads or Google Analytics property.
- After you grant permission, click Proceed to verify site ownership.
- Click Allow to grant access to Google account data.
- Click Add site to add the site to Search Console. You have now configured the plugin.
- From the menu on the left, select Site Kit, then Dashboard.
- Click Set up Google Analytics.
- Sign in with the same Google account that you used before.
- Click Continue to grant additional permissions.
- Choose your pre-existing analytics property, then click Configure Analytics.
