Create a sub-menu

To make sub-menus in Google Sites, you need to create the top-level pages first. These will appear on the left side of the page.

To add top-level pages:

  1. Open your website in Google Sites.
  2. At the top right, click Create page .
  3. Name the page and choose a page template.
  4. Select Put page at top level.
  5. Click Create.

Add subpages below top-level pages

To add a subpage:

  1. Go to the top-level page where you want to add a subpage.
  2. At the top right, click Create page .
  3. Name the page and choose a page template.
  4. Select Put page under {top level page}.

To view and edit the placement of the subpages:

  1. At the top right, click More actions .
  2. Choose Manage site.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Pages.
  4. You can see the layout of the top-level pages and subpages. Click and drag any pages you want to rearrange.

Add a subpage listing

To add a listing to a top-level page with links to the subpages:

  1. Go to the top-level page where you want to add a subpage listing.
  2. At the top right, click Edit page .
  3. Click Insert > Subpage listing.
  4. Edit the listing's title and included subpages.
  5. Choose the width and appearance of the listing, then click Save.
  6. At the top right, click Save to save the page.
