Generate and manage upgraded inventory campaigns

Pause, activate, and remove templates

When you pause a template,  Search Ads 360 stops applying the template. Items that were originally generated by the template are no longer updated, and no new items are created. The generated items are not paused. If you also want to pause the generated items, change the status of the item (you can use filters to view only the items generated by a specific template).

When you activate a paused template, Search Ads 360 will apply the template the next time it evaluates the inventory plan.

When you remove a template, Search Ads 360 removes all items that the template generated. For example, if you remove a campaign template, Search Ads 360 changes the status for all campaigns the template generated to Removed. The ad group, ad, keyword, and other templates that were in the campaign template are not removed. You can use them in other campaign templates within the inventory plan, or remove them as well.

Note that all changes to the status of a template appear in your change history.

To pause, activate, and remove templates:

  1. Navigate to an advertiser.
