Remove a Data Exclusion event

Remove a Data Exclusion event from Search Ads 360

  1. Navigate to an advertiser.

    Steps for navigating to an advertiser
    1. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    2. In the "Agency" list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    3. In the "Advertiser" list, click on the advertiser.

    4. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

    Search Ads 360 displays the advertiser page, which contains data for all of the advertiser’s engine accounts.

  2. In the left navigation panel, click Bid strategies.
  3. Click the Events tab.
  4. Select the checkboxes for the data exclusion events that you want to remove.
  5. Click Edit, and then click Remove.

    The event is removed from all the bid strategies and conversion goals it was applied to.

    The next time Search Ads 360 evaluates the data for the applied campaigns, ad groups, and product groups, the data from the event is included in the bid optimization and conversion goal calculations.

Remove a Data Exclusion event from selected Search Ads 360 bid strategies or conversion goals

  1. Navigate to an advertiser.

    Steps for navigating to an advertiser
    1. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    2. In the "Agency" list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    3. In the "Advertiser" list, click on the advertiser.

    4. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

    Search Ads 360 displays the advertiser page, which contains data for all of the advertiser’s engine accounts.

  2. In the left navigation panel, click Bid strategies.
  3. Click the Events tab.
  4. Select the checkbox next to a data exclusion event.
  5. Click Edit, and then click Edit details.
  6. Do any of the following to remove the event from a bid strategy:

    1. In the list of selected bid strategies on the right, click the remove icon    

    2. Above the list of selected bid strategies, click Remove all to remove the event from all of the bid strategies.

    3. In the list on the left, clear the bid strategy's checkbox.

  7. Do any of the following to remove the event from a conversion goal:

    1. In the list of selected conversion goals on the right, click the remove icon    

    2. Above the list of selected conversion goals, click Remove all to remove the event from all of the conversion goals.

    3. In the list on the left, clear the conversion goal's checkbox.

  8. When you’re done editing events, click Save.

    The next time Search Ads 360 evaluates bids and bid adjustments, the data from the event is included in the bid optimization and conversion goal calculations. Bid strategies evaluate bids approximately four times a day.

 

Reactivate a Data Exclusion event

  1. Navigate to an advertiser.

    Steps for navigating to an advertiser
    1. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    2. In the "Agency" list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    3. In the "Advertiser" list, click on the advertiser.

    4. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

    Search Ads 360 displays the advertiser page, which contains data for all of the advertiser’s engine accounts.

  2. In the left navigation panel, click Bid strategies.
  3. Click the Events tab.
  4. Next to Show, click the All but removed▾ button, and then click Show all.
  5. In the Status column, click the ▾ (down arrow) next to the x (red x),  and then click Active.

    The Data Exclusion event is restored and applied to selected bid strategies and conversion goals.

  6. Optional. Repeat the previous step for each event that you want to reactivate.

    The next time Search Ads 360 evaluates bids and bid adjustments for the applied campaigns, ad groups, and product groups, the data from the event is excluded from the bid optimization and conversion goal calculations.
