Search max CPC column

(Applicable to Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising only) Defines the default maximum cost-per-click for keywords in an ad group that is targeted to the search network. Individual keywords can override this maximum by specifying their own max CPC.

Starting March 2022, Yahoo! Gemini engine accounts within Search Ads 360 will be migrated to engine track accounts. Learn more.

You can use this column in a formula column by specifying the Ad_group_search_max_CPC variable.

Add this column to a report
  1. Navigate to a Google Ads engine account or campaign.

  2. Click the Ad groups tab.

  3. Above the performance summary graph, click the Columns button.

  4. Type the column name in the Search for columns box.

  5. Click + next to the column name to add the column to the selected columns list.

  6. Click Apply.

If you scope to an advertiser and view this column:

  • The column displays --- for keywords in engine accounts other than Google Ads and Yahoo! Gemini.

  • You cannot edit the value in the column. Scope to a specific engine account or lower to edit the value.
