Device targeting for Microsoft Advertising

This article applies only to Microsoft Advertising accounts in the new Search Ads 360.

By default, Microsoft Advertising ads can appear on mobile, desktop, or tablet devices. You can set device bid adjustments to prevent ads from appearing on specific device types or to change the likelihood that you ad will appear on specific device types.

For example, to show ads only on desktop computers, set your bid adjustments for mobile devices to zero. Here's how to change your Microsoft Advertising campaign settings to show ads only on desktop computers:

  1. Sign in to your new Search Ads 360.
  2. Navigate to a Microsoft Advertising client account.
  3. On the page menu, click Campaigns, and then click the campaign you want.
  4. On the page menu, click Devices.
  5. In the "Device" column, find the row that says "Mobile phones."
  6. Click the “Bid adj.” cell for your desired campaign or ad group.
  7. Choose Decrease from the drop-down menu.
  8. Enter 100 in the % field, and click Save.
