Add additional asset groups (hotels) to your Performance Max for travel goals campaign

Performance Max for travel goals campaigns allow you to serve your ads across Google’s advertising platforms, which can help drive more direct bookings for your properties.

When you create a Performance Max for travel goals campaign, you can link your Hotel Center feed to make it easier to populate property lists into a campaign and to populate assets. Currently, linking to Hotel Center is limited to accounts with no more than 100 hotels, but you can create a hotel properties feed if you want to link more than 100 properties instead. After you’ve created your Performance Max for travel goals campaign, you can add additional asset groups (hotels) to your campaign through your Google Ads client account or the Hotel Center.

Instructions

After you create a Performance Max for travel goals campaign, you can select from multiple options to add additional asset groups (hotels) to the campaign:

Add asset groups through your Google Ads client account

  1. Sign in to your new Search Ads 360.
  2. Navigate to a Google Ads client account.
  3. Click the Tools & Settings icon Tools Icon.
  4. Select “Setup” from the dropdown menu, then click Business data.
  5. On the “Data feeds” page, select the hotel property feed that you would like to edit.
    • Note: “Hotel property feed” identifies the data feeds you’ve created for Performance Max for travel goals campaigns.
  6. Click the plus button Add, then choose one of the following options to add properties to a feed:
  7. In the “Campaigns using this feed” section, select the campaign that needs to be updated. When you select a campaign, you'll be brought back to the “Overview” page for the selected campaign.
    • Important: To continue to add asset groups through your Google Ads client account, ensure that you’ve completed this step. Your new asset groups (hotels) must be added to your campaigns.
  8. Click Asset groups on the navigation menu.
  9. Click either Create All in the top notification panel or the plus button Add.
    • “Create All” auto-populates the new asset groups all together so that you can edit them as needed.
    • The plus button Add requires you to create the new property asset groups one at a time through the “Link property” option. If there are multiple new asset groups, repeat this step until all the new asset groups have been created.
  10. Click Save.

Add asset groups through Hotel Center

You can also use your linked Hotel Center accounts to add hotels through Hotel Center. This action is not feasible through the Search Ads 360 account, so you need to go to your Hotel Center account.

  1. In your Hotel Center account, click Account settings.
  2. In the “Google Ads Links” section, find the Google Ads account your data feed is linked to and click Manage Link.
  3. Select “Only some properties”, and download the existing property list.
  4. After downloading your property list, add new properties and upload the updated list.
  5. Click Submit once the new file is uploaded and click Update.
  6. After updating, return to Google Ads client account, select the Performance Max for travel goals campaign that’s using this feed, and follow steps 8 and 9 in add asset groups through Google Ads.
