Switch to a different Preferred Marketing Developer

The new Search Ads 360 can only communicate with some social media platforms through a Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD). For other types of social media platforms, using a PMD is optional, but the PMD may help to add tracking URLs and import social performance and engagement metrics in the new Search Ads 360.

If you specified a PMD when you created a social media account in the new Search Ads 360 but have switched to another supported PMD, follow these steps in the new Search Ads 360:

  1. Sign in to your new Search Ads 360.
  2. Navigate to a social media account. 
  3. In the page menu, click Settings.
  4. Click Account linking to expand the section.
  5. In the Connect through a Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD) drop-down, select your new PMD. 
  6. Click Save.
  7. If you're importing performance and engagement metrics, follow these steps to switch the import process over to the new PMD:
    1. Create a new sFTP endpoint unless you already have one set up for the new PMD. Each PMD needs its own sFTP endpoint.
    2. Use the PMD to schedule the delivery of performance and engagement metrics. Find instructions for your specific PMD.
