This article describes the use of a new grouping of conversion actions into conversion goals, and a new experience during campaign creation and conversion tracking setup. The updates are designed to improve the performance of your campaigns by keeping a strong focus on your advertising objectives. Learn more about conversion goals in the new Search Ads 360.
If you want to change the conversion goals in Google Ads but you see that the new Search Ads 360 is managing the goals, follow the steps below. You may see the message in Google Ads conversion settings saying “This campaign was configured in the new Search Ads 360 to use Search Ads 360 conversions. Smart Bidding strategies for this campaign will optimize for these new Search Ads 360 conversions.”
- Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
- Navigate to a Google Ads client account.
- From the page menu on the left, click Campaigns.
- Click the name of the campaign you want to choose Google Ads conversion goals for.
- From the page menu on the left, click Settings.
- Click Conversions goals to expand the section. (If you don't see "Conversion goals", click Additional Settings.)
- In Google Ads section, select one of the following conversion settings:
- Use account default goal settings to use the account's default conversion goals
- You can only choose the account-level Google Ads conversion actions in a campaign if the “Report these Search Ads 360 conversion actions in the Google Ads conversions column” checkbox isn’t selected in the Search Ads 360 conversions section. - Use campaign-specific goal settings to choose specific goals for this campaign
- Use account default goal settings to use the account's default conversion goals
- Click Save.
