Display properties: Expanding

An ad that expands after user interaction, like a click. You can customize expansion using different directions, shapes, and effects. The ad collapses automatically or after user interaction.

Fields

  • Width: Width of collapsed ad, in pixels.
  • Height: Height of collapsed ad, in pixels.
  • Expanded width: Width of expanded ad, in pixels.
  • Expanded height: Height of expanded ad, in pixels.
  • Left offset: The distance between the left or right edge of the collapsed asset and the left or right edge of the expanded asset, in pixels. Positive values determine distance from the left, and negative values determine distance from the right.
    Values other than 0 may cut off sections of the creative.
    Only use offset values when building expanding creatives without the DoubleClick Studio Expanding component.
  • Top offset: The distance between the top or bottom edge of the collapsed asset and the top or bottom margin of the expanded asset, in pixels. Positive values determine distance from the top, and negative values determine distance from the bottom.
    Values other than 0 may cut off sections of the creative.
    Only use offset values when building expanding creatives without the DoubleClick Studio Expanding component.
  • WMode (window mode). Determines the look and behavior of the window that an ad appears in.
    • Transparent: Allows background of web page to show through all transparent portions of the ad.
    • Opaque: Makes ad hide everything behind it on the page.
    • Window: Plays ad in its own window on a web page.
  • Push-down: The creative expands (pushes down) for x seconds, then collapses (pushes up) for the same number of seconds.
  • Seconds: Time it takes for ad to expand/collapse.
  • Z-index: Controls depth of creative in relation to other elements on the page. If two elements overlap and have the same wmode, the element with the higher Z-index appears on top.
  • Hide: Check these options to prevent selected items from appearing when ad expands:
    • Scroll bars
    • Selection boxes
    • Java applets
    • Flash objects
    • I-frames
